In the community of Oakville, Ontario, LALUZ Consulting Inc. is setting a new standard for business consulting. Inspired by the Spanish word for "the light," LALUZ is dedicated to illuminating the path towards growth and self-discovery for both individuals and organizations. We believe everyone has a unique light within them, and we're passionate about helping that light shine even brighter.
LALUZ was founded on the principle that true success comes from fostering learning, inspiring potential, and nurturing trust. Our founder, a seasoned expert in business strategy, operations, and leadership development, envisioned a space where individuals and organizations alike could thrive.

Hi, I'm Karen Wonders
I bring an engineer’s rigor and a coach’s presence to your transformation.
I founded LALUZ Consulting with a specific goal: to help you build high-performing teams. I believe that operational excellence shines brightest when teams have clear direction, a culture of continuous learning, and the autonomy to execute.
My own path has been defined by navigating transitions. Moving to Canada from Peru as a teenager taught me how to listen deeply and observe what is happening beneath the surface. It gave me a lasting appreciation for resilience and the ability to adapt to new environments.
For over 20 years, I applied an engineer’s mindset to operational leadership. I loved the logic of systems and the satisfaction of solving complex problems. However, as I led larger teams, I realized that strategy alone wasn't enough. I saw that sustainable growth requires leaders who can foster trust and empower their people.
To support leaders in doing this work, I expanded my toolkit. I earned my Executive MBA and became a Certified Executive Coach at the Rotman School of Management. This combination allows me to blend engineering rigor with a coach’s presence.
My approach is to be fully present and act as a mirror. This helps you find the clarity and powerful solutions that already exist within you. I believe in building trusting partnerships that deliver measurable, lasting results.
